UV DTF / BENCH NOTES

Prepare UV builder files

Start with separate designs, then plan a 22-inch-wide UV sheet with the repeats and cutting gaps your project needs.

Files, dimensions and quantities

Bring separate artwork files, finished dimensions and repeat counts. Plan a 22-inch-wide sheet.

Keep artwork in normal reading orientation; do not mirror. Retain an editable master and check the fit on the actual object, including curves, seams and edges.

Set up the print file

Accepted artwork formats: PNG, JPG/JPEG, SVG, PDF, PSD and AI/EPS. By-size files may be up to 100 MB each; builder source files up to 100 MiB each; finished-sheet uploads up to 500 MB. Transparent PNG or print-ready PDF is preferred. Raster artwork should be 300 ppi at final dimensions. JPG cannot preserve transparency; remove unwanted backgrounds in the source and export to a transparent format.

Keep standalone lines and small detail at least 0.02 in (about 0.5 mm) thick. Keep all designs inside the boundary and leave at least 0.25 in between artwork edges. Remove guides and template labels before export.

Work through an example

Planning example: a 22 × 12 in sheet is 6600 × 3600 pixels at 300 ppi and costs $12.99. Arrange six 3 × 3 in designs in two rows of three, with 0.25 in gaps. The group occupies 9.5 × 6.25 in, leaving unused space on the sheet. One sheet gives six designs; two identical sheets give twelve.
